Requirements for Leasing to Builders Transportation


Documents Required

• Copy of and/or original title

• Copy of current Heavy Vehicle Use Tax Form (2290

• Copy of title or title application

• Copy of Bill of Sale

• Copy of certificate of insurance evidencing proof of: Bobtail coverage
  ***Contractor must secure an Occupational/ Accident and/or Workman’s Compensation policy ***

If contractor does not have these types of insurance coverage, our company can provide this at a competitive rate to the contractor along with physical damage insurance. These coverage's will be payroll deducted on a monthly basis. Cargo & Liability Coverage is paid by company
 
Financial Requirements
If load securement equipment is needed by the contractor, Builders Transportation will issue the needed equipment and deduct payments on a weekly basis until paid in full. 50% down is due at the time of installation.

Inspection Requirements
The tractor and trailer must past a DOT inspection at the time of leasing

The contractor’s securement / load protection equipment will be inspected at the time of leasing.
Tractor must be 10 years old or newer
